October 2020 - Jamaica |
Since no one is really flying, getting through the airports - both going there and coming home - was under an hour to get through health check, customs, and immigration. And the hotel was very nice. They are more diligent about covid down there with hand sanitizing stations everywhere and they politely ask you to use them. Masks are worn at all times, unless in your room, seated at a dining table, or in the pool. The staff at the Hilton Rose Hall could not have been more attentive and the food was excellent. The kids really liked the lazy river, the water slides, and playing ping pong (especially when the staff hunted them down for a challenge.) Krista

June 2019 - Morocco
I would like to thank you so very much for helping secure the room for Brian and I at Sir Richard Branson Kasbah Tamadot while we were in Morocco! I tried to call the Kasbah direct with no success many times. We started our trip in Casablanca, Morocco with the tour group G Adventures. After spending 2 days with the group Brian and I were disappointed in the content of information at the various points of interest including Fez and Volusia as well as the tour leaders. We took a train to Marrakesh from Fez the next morning. I wanted to stay at Kasbah Tamadot. The Kasbah is approximately one hour by car from Marrakesh. I tried many times to call direct with no success. I called you and asked for help at inconvenient weekend hours. After talking with you I took a sigh of relief. You were able to secure a room at the Kasbah for us and it was heaven on earth there. I am very grateful to you for assisting us in what I would call a travel emergency in such a way it was a tribute to you and your company! Thank you again for saving our vacation!
Sincerely,
Pamela
January 2018 - Secrets Capri
Yes we did have an amazing time. We were able to use the spa certificate. Although the first person I asked told me I couldn't use it towards massages, and then I asked a different person the second day and they said yes absolutely.
1. The most memorable part of the vacation was probably the night time entertainment/shows as well as all the AMAZING food.
2. I would definitely recommend this tour package to other people
3. some of the things I liked best was the entertainment. there was a show almost every night and they were VERY good! I really liked how you did NOT need to make a reservation at the "specialty" restaurants, it made dinning very convenient. Also the extensive drink menu with top shelf liquor. I also liked how for lunch you had multiple options as far as buffet, cactus caffe or one of the other specialty restaurants that did lunch. all the food was AMAZING. the pool side service for food and drinks was also fantastic! one of my other absolute FAVORITE parts was the outdoor movie under the stars, perfect for a night when you don't feel like doing much. it was also great to be recognized as honeymooners on their daily welcome letter that everyone received each day.
4. we did 3 excursions- visit to Chichen Itza, we did a second that included visiting Tulum, snorkeling in a lagoon and going into the cynote, and we did a snorkeling catamaran cruise. All 3 excursions were with Cancun Adventures. Seeing on the the 7 wonders of the world was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and our tour guide was extremely informative. I was disappointed with the snorkeling/catamaran cruise. They packed too many people onto 3 boats and we all unloaded at the same site, it was WAY too crowded. I would not recommend to go on that excursion.
5. I loved all the restaurants! even the buffet, If I had to pick one it would be either the Japanese, or the last night they turned the "Mexican" into a steak house menu.
6. I would recommend the resort to others
7. I would not having done the catamaran snorkeling cruise. I would have found a smaller one. and I would have made a trip to isla de mujeres
8. No problems at all! thanks so much.

December 2017 - Universal & Disney Parks
Hi, we did have a great trip and thank you for all your help!
1. What was the most memorable part of your vacation? Probably the new rides we did at the parks (Avatar, the Harry Potters)
2. Would you recommend this resort property to others? Yes, it was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but that was fine for us.
3. What park did you like best? They all have something different or unique, so loved each one the same.
4. Did you participate in any extra activities out of the main parks? No, dinner at Disney Springs. Walked around the shops. They had live Christmas music and the decorations were beautiful.
5. Was there a particular restaurant that you would recommend? We did Rain Forest Café, Margaritaville, T-Rex, Hard Rock. All fun themes to them, and good service for being so busy. We ate at the bar at Rain Forest because we couldn’t get a table reservation. Kids are allowed, which saved us from missing a late fastpass and doing the Avatar rides.
6. If you were to take this trip again, what changes would you make? I would not go a peak travel time. Since that was our only option, we made sure we hit the big attractions right away. I would pack more snacks and water. The lines to get food were very long and the prices are crazy for a bottle of water.
7. Did you have any problems that we can help with? No – even though you told us to read our travel docs, we did not. Glad you were available on a Sunday to bail us out of paying full price for Universal tickets.
October 2017 - Sandals Regency LaToc, St. Lucia
We had a GREAT time and as always it's been a pleasure working with you! Thanks for helping us with check-in the week before and we absolutely loved Sandals - would definitely recommend to anyone. Please see my responses to your questions below :).
Thank you again for everything and we will be in touch!
1. What was the most memorable part of your vacation? Our dune buggy excursion and learning how to sail a hobie at the resort
2. Would you recommend Sandals Regency to others, likes/dislikes? Absolutely, very relaxing with plenty to do
3. Did you participate in any excursions/extra activities that you would recommend to others? Yes, the dune buggy / mud bath / waterfall / lunch tour was amazing (but not for the faint of heart, they would need to be an adrenaline junkie for sure)
4. Was there a particular restaurant that you would recommend? La Toc the French Restauraunt was amazing, if we went back we would try to reserve more nights there. We also liked the Pitons restaurant.
5. If you were to take this trip again, what changes would you make? We would try to get a balcony - our view was spectacular
6. Did you get any complimentary upgrades or amenities due to the VIP letter that I sent to the resort? Not sure about upgrades - they did give us a bottle of champagne when we arrived
7. Did you have any problems that I can help with? The only discrepancy was an $80 charge on our bill for internet - the resort handled it prior to our departure through!

September 2017 - Pacific Princess - 19 days Swiss Splendors and Lake Como -7 day land trip Zurich-to Venice land trip then 12 days Venice to Venice cruise
We have cruised with Princess four times, and have never been disappointed in their service and attention to detail. The ships are beautiful, even the older ones, and they keep them spotless. While in port, it's not uncommon to see workers painting the hull, refitting lines, and performing general maintenance on the exterior of the ship. The interior is always very clean, too. Their staff is constantly cleaning windows, wiping down handrails and policing the floors for spills and dirt. I like that....
Probably the most impressive characteristic about cruising with Princess is their customer service. "Just ask and it shall be done" should be their motto. They are polite and courteous, even when the situation might be a little tense with the passenger, and believe me, some passengers can test one's patience. ;)
They exceed my expectations when it comes to providing service. For example, during our cruise, I had a problem with Achilles tendonitis. Each night after walking for most of the day on an excursion, my ankle would swell up and ache terribly. One morning, I asked our cabin steward for a bucket of ice and told him there was no rush since I was heading out on an excursion that morning. He immediately went to the galley and filled my bucket and brought it back to me. I guess he thought I wanted to use it for a cold drink, so he wanted to make sure I had it quickly. I put it in the freezer and had it that night for soaking my swollen ankle in the bathroom sink. It's a small thing, but little things really do mean a lot.
I've traveled with Norwegian and Celebrity also, and while they are very nice too, I always seem to want to come back to Princess. Princess seems to be more customer-service driven than what I've seen in my limited experience with the others. I've never cruised with Royal Caribbean, but I would expect they are top-notch as well..
I guess that's about it. I'll be cruising with Princess again in the future. It's what floats my boat! ;) (Pun intended)

September 2017 - Crystal River Cruise
What was the most memorable part of your vacation
It was all pretty memorable. We wouldn't pick one thing. Each stop had its own unique qualities.
Would you recommend this cruise line to others? Yes, but it is pricy, so it depends on whether the extras are worth it to the travellers.
What did you like best about the cabin? Good sized bathroom and usable shower.
What port did you like best? Again, they were all interesting in their own way. Probably Budapest and Durnstein made the most impression.
Did you participate in any shore excursions that you recommend? We did practically all the available excursions (i.e., one of several available at each stop).
How did you feel the service was compared to other trips you have taken? Stupendous, given the ratio of staff to passengers. Very high class (but you pay...)
If you were to take this trip again, what changes would you make? Not much.
Did you have any problems that we can help with? Not really
The onboard food was outstanding, especially dinner. The private Vienna concert was a really excellent experience. The Michelin dinner was interesting, but given the underlying cost, not worth it (frankly, for us unsophisticated types the ship food was really much more preferable).
July 2016 – Majestic Elegance, Punta Cana
First of all let us say that your travel agency was by far the best we've dealt with. Everything was so professionally done and every detail thought of. All of your people were friendly and extremely helpful. You responded so quickly to any silly question I had,it surprised me. But nothing was more surprising than the gift of wine and toppers you sent to us on our return. Incredibly thoughtful and great job! We'll call you every time we travel. Thank you so much for the experience.
1. Most memorable part of our vacation was the Majestic Resort and wonderful employees who took care of us.
2. We'd absolutely recommend this package. It was flawless.
3. It was a great value. From the great itinerary we received to the air port shuttles, everything was so well planned and stress free.
4. No excursions. We've done most excursions around Punta Cana during previous visits through Apple Tours and just chose not to this time.
5. We found all the restaurants to be excellent, the best food we've had in the Dominican, and we've been 5 or 6 times! Itallian, Japanese, French and Outdoor Seafood were the most notable.
6. N/A
7. Nothing really. Bring our adult kids next time would be nice
8. No problems at all
Again, many thanks for making our vacation perfect.
Sincerely,
Kathy and Rick
June 2016 - Tauck Reflections River Cruise
We liked Tauck before we traveled and liked them even more during and after the trip. Prague to Vienna or Vienna to Prague?
As much as we loved Prague, Vienna is tough to beat. We liked it more than Paris. River Cruise was terrific.Yes I would definitely recommend a extra day in Prague and one or two extra days in Vienna. Always remember in Vienna that most museums are closed on Mondays and most shops are closed on Sunday.
Jewish Quarters in Prague-would recommend the private tour. You see more and get more information.Went to the opera in Vienna as well as the symphony. Would recommend booking the opera months before the trip. Had no problem getting tickets to the symphony. Symphony Hall is absolutely magnificent.
Physical issues, I had trouble in some areas because of the steep inclines. Cobble stone side walks and roads do not make it any easier.
Most memorable moment, Tauck's farewell dinner in Vienna-WOW!!!
Weather-Cold in Prague;unusually warm in Vienna (60's in Prague;high 80's to 91 in Vienna.Great trip-blessed to be able to do it.
May 2016 - Azamara Quest
Azamara is highly recommended, 670 passengers and 400 crew . Crew and food A1. Took side trips in most ports which were well done with good guides. While good they do overcharge for these as expected. Some folks make their own arrangements to avoid this. Favorite stop has to be St. Petersburg. Was there 25 years ago, now very different. Clean streets, modern busses, friendly natives, and so much to see. Was told this is Putin's home city so well kept. One suggestion, when sending passengers thru Heathrow and most airports these days, 2 hours to change flights is not enough. I know you received info that we are on Azamara in March 2017. When payment is due we have a credit from the last trip to apply because they missed one port and gave us 1/6th of the first trip as a credit. Thanks for the basket of goodies which arrived on our return. Nice touch!!!
January 2016 – Charleston, SC
We took a shuttle to the hotel from the airport - $28 vs. $30+ for a cab ride – but if we were to go back, I think I would take a cab or make arrangements ahead of time vs. next available shuttle. The standard 15 minute wait wasn’t bad, but the van was full, so a little cramped being in the very back, had stops along the way, and had to shuffle around at each stop. When we were to leave, our concierge made arrangements with a different company – Journey Transportation – and it was a much nicer trip back – the driver was early and waiting for us, he was pleasant and more professional than the other company’s driver, the van was cleaner, and it was just us.
The Mills House at Wyndham Grand – it was a great hotel! It was very clean, and from the minute the cab dropped us off at the front, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The location was central to many areas of the city - right on the edge of the Historic District so it was easy to walk through the many historic neighborhoods, and to museums operated by the Historic Charleston Foundation. We toured the Nathaniel Russell House with a live docent, where the décor and furnishings were totally renovated to the period which the Russell family lived there, and the Aiken-Rhett House with a self-guided audio tour, which is not refurbished at all, and the bare furnishings were actually those of the Aiken and Rhett families, unlike the previous house. We also toured The Old Exchange Building & Provost Dungeon, also with a live docent, which historically and visually was an interesting museum.
Our children gave us gift certificates for a couple of restaurants, and they both were excellent – breakfast at Hominy Grill to the north (which was a hefty walk but well worth it and a lot to see and do to the north), and dinner at Slightly North of Broad (S.N.O.B.) to the east. Twice we had a delicious breakfast at Eli’s Table, which is just a block north of the hotel, nice menu choices besides just the usual bacon and eggs. We had dinner at Poogan’s Porch one evening, which was out the side door of the hotel, and again – wonderful meals there! It was restaurant week in Charleston, so we took advantage of it for two dinners out, a good way to sample the menus, and the choices available were part of their regular menus, so that was nice. There was a restaurant in the hotel, which looked to have a nice menu, but we ventured out every day, so didn’t take the opportunity to eat there except to have a kale salad sent to our room one evening – which was good.
So if any of your clients want to visit the city of Charleston and would like some recommendations, here are a few.
Take care, and thank you (and Stephanie and your staff) for all you have done for us travel-wise!!

December 2015 – Excellence Playa Mujeres
Thanks so much for recommending the Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres. EPM was absolutely the Best all-inclusive that we have ever experienced. We encountered no problems with the entire trip. Everyone treated us great including Southwest, Lomas Travel and especially everyone we encountered at EPM. The entire resort was spotless, our oceanfront suite was fabulous and everything we ate was delicious.
We enjoyed the resort so much that we did not do any off-site excursions. Unfortunately, I got a cold on day 2, so I did not do any scuba diving although there were plenty of options with Lomas and AquaWorld (who provided all water sport options for EPM). We did do a 2 hour AquaWorld snorkeling trip to a nearby reef that was really great.
We would definitely recommend EPM to others along with the upgrade to the Excellence Club. The personalized Excellence Club check-in, concierge, lounge, Hydro Massage and other services were well worth the reasonable cost for the upgrade.
EPM accommodated both of the requests that you noted in the VIP letter that you sent. When we were escorted to our suite (on the 3rd floor in building 8A as we requested) the door was draped with a banner that said Happy Anniversary. When we entered we found the room decorated with rose peddles and champagne and fresh fruit was waiting for us. The complimentary Anniversary Package also included a breakfast in bed, an additional Hydro Massage followed with a Neck and Shoulder massage and a romantic candle lit dinner on the beach. We upgraded the massage to a full body couples massage that was absolutely amazing. Our private dinner was on our last night with great food, wine and live saxophone background music. Natalie and I both agreed that this was the high point of our week.
We cannot think of a single thing we would change when we do this trip again, and we definitely will be doing it again!
We will be doing a detailed review for Trip Advisor and I’ll send you a copy when it’s done. We will certainly be in touch with you for our future travel needs. (Thank Howard for the great travel agent recommendation.)
Thanks Again for all your efforts,
Dick & Natalie
December 2015 – Dreams Sugar Bay, St. Thomas
We had a blast on the trip. The hotel was nice and had some gorgeous views. Everyone that worked on the staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They were great in helping us coordinate taxis for our day trips as well. The food at the resort was good but could have used more variety. The menus were the same each day and some of the restaurants only had a handful of options to choose from so I would have loved to see more variety in that. They had bingo each day at the pool which we loved and at night they had a DJ in the lobby bar but other than that there weren’t many activities for people to do at the resort. We would have loved for them to maybe have some live music or just more organized activities. They did have trivia one night but it lasted for about 15 minutes and wasn’t well organized. On Thursday night they did have Carnival Night and that was a lot of fun – they had food by the pool, a band, fire dancers, and an extra bar set up. We would have loved to have done that a few times during the week rather than just the one night.
On trip advisor in advance many of the reviews basically inferred that the resort was terrible but we didn’t feel that at all. We had a great time, our room was nice and clean and cleaned and restocked every day, all the staff was nice, the pool and beach areas were clean and comfortable, we had no problems getting beach towels or drinks. When reading those reviews I feel like those people weren’t even at the same resort as us because they are so outlandish! There was some construction going on, on the property but none of it interfered with our trip we just occasionally saw people painting walls or fixing sidewalks which never bothered us because we know they are trying to make the resort as nice as possible.
What was the most memorable part of the trip? The 2 day trips that we took to St. John & St. Croix and the views from our room.
Would you recommend this destination to others? Yes! We had a wonderful time and it was so nice to easily access the other islands.
Were there any excursions that you would recommend to others? We did 2 excursions but they were done individually not through a tour. 1. We took the Ferry to St John, stopped by the visitor center and hiked the Lindt Point Trail to an overlook with an amazing view of Cruz Bay – we then continued on the trail to Honeymoon Beach. Here we were able to rent snorkel gear, kayaks, chairs, and more. They also had a snack bar and small gift shop. We continue our hike up towards Caneel Bay, grabbed a taxi and headed back into town and wandered around Mongoose Junction and then enjoyed lunch at The Tap Room which is a local brewery with great beer and food. Then we went back towards ferry dock and had drinks at The Beach Bar. 2. We took Cape Air commuter plane over to St. Croix. After a 20 minute flight we grabbed a taxi and headed to Fredericksted. Here we did an ATV Tour of the rainforest through Geckos Island Adventures. We were able to share an ATV and it was about 1.5 hours through the forest to some great sugar ruins, overlooks, and more. We ended at Rainbow Beach and enjoyed lunch and drinks at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach a restaurant with the most amazing view we have ever seen. The food was amazing – I would go back there in a heartbeat.
If you were to take this trip again, what changes would you make? We would probably stay on St. John and do more hiking and snorkeling and probably plan some day trips over to the British Virgin Islands.
Did you have any problems that we can help with? No we had a great time!
Did you get any complimentary upgrades or amenities due to the VIP letter that I sent to the resort? Yes upon arrival we went to check in and they redirected us to the VIP Services where we were upgraded to the Premium Club. They got us a room with an ocean view, access to the premium club room with extra snacks and a personal bartender. They also put a banner on our door to let everyone know we were celebrating our honeymoon. We also got a voucher to use at any point on our trip for a bottle of sparkling wine.

November 2015 – Grandeur of the Seas
First, thank you for the Thanksgiving gift we received from you upon our return!
Second, thank you and your staff for handling everything associated with our recent Royal Caribbean cruise out of Baltimore so professionally. From our first phone call until our return every contact - face-to-face meetings, phone calls, emails, etc. - with you and your staff was handled promptly and to our full satisfaction. This was our second experience with Diana’s Destination and is not likely to be our last.
Our Royal Caribbean Cruise, Nov. 11 - 21, 2015, departed on time from Baltimore. We were blessed with good weather and only one day of rough seas. We had previously sailed with Royal Caribbean, Grandeur of the Seas, on a New England / Canada cruise in 2014 and were familiar with the ship. This was an anniversary celebration cruise. Our traveling companions, Charlie & Ann Carpenter celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 19, Josie and I will celebrate our 51st anniversary on Thanksgiving Day.
Royal Caribbean excelled in the following areas:
• Boarding and disembarking
• Super attentive and friendly staff
• Headliner shows
• Our balcony staterooms were reasonably roomy and comfortable
We enjoyed being able to check the weather, watch sunrises and sunsets from the comfort and privacy of our room
We were not overly excited with the ports-of-call, Labadee, Haiti; San Juan, P.R.; Charlotte Amalie, U.S>V.I.; and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. But we knew this in advance, none of us are into zip lining, beach activity, etc. We were interested in having a relaxing time in warm weather and from that perspective we were not disappointed. The ship excursion’s for special activities are probably worthwhile, however, we found a private taxi was cheaper, more comfortable, and overall more enjoyable than being herded onto crowded buses.
Labadee is Royal Caribbean's private resort in Haiti. We stayed onboard and enjoyed having the ship virtually to ourselves!Talking to folks who visited Labadee convinced us we had made a great decision.
San Juan - we took ship’s sponsored old and new city tour and were very disappointed, in part because the area was engulfed in a major traffic tie-up. The tour included a 1/2 hr. tour of Castillo de San Cristobal and a drive through the old city. Even without the traffic problems this tour didn’t live up to it’s expectations. If we were to do it again, we would get a taxi ride up the rather steep hills of the old city and take our time criss-crossing a walk back to the docks. Our San Juan stay was saved with a visit to Señor Frog’s restaurant. Señor Frog definitely caters to the cruise ships, but was a fun place to go. The burgers were very good and the service friendly. Our waitress gave us a hand-written “coupon” for 4 free Margarita’s in Charlotte Amalie!
Charlotte Amalie - we took a private taxi for an island tour. Not only was this 1/2 price ($25 pp including tip for a 2 hr. tour) over the ship’s excursions, we had the luxury of only the 4 of us in a comfortable mini SUV and a driver who catered to our wishes. After the tour we stopped at Señor Frog’s which was located right next to the ship. To our surprise they honored our hand-written coupon and we enjoyed several Margarita’s before re-boarding the ship.
Philipsburg - we again took a private taxi for a mountain tour of the island including the French district. Our driver gave us a 1/2 hr. to go shopping, since we weren’t interested in shopping and some in our party had problems walking too much we only took 15 minutes. We ate on the beach and took the water taxi back to the ship.
We split our meals between the formal dining room and the buffet. We did not participate in the 2 formal dining evenings. We did go to the specialty steak house and enjoyed filet mignon and complimentary lobster tail for the Carpenter’s anniversary.
There was a medical emergency on board that forced an unexpected stop at Norfolk on the way back. This turned out to be a bonus for us as we got to see our naval fleet, including at least 2 small aircraft carrier’s, docked in the Elizabeth River. The ship tied up in Norfolk for 4 or 5 hrs. refueling. This did not cause any delays in our return.
We enjoyed the cruise and convenience of sailing out of Baltimore and recommend this trip to anyone who wants a relaxing time on the open seas. The 6 days of cruising from and return to Baltimore was enjoyable for us, The first day out and last day back were chilly cruising down and up the Chesapeake.
One minor disappointment we had was the drink prices. Last year on our New England cruise on the same ship, there was a discounted “drink of the day” and “buckets of beer” that was not offered on this trip.
John
July 2015 - NOW Jade, Riviera Maya
Great work! I apologize for the delay in providing this feedback caused by the totally mind numbing vacation you set up for Bree and I in Cancun. :) I can't remember the last time we were able to just "shut down" and enjoy just "being". Having never used a travel agent before, we were not exactly sure what to expect, but I am back to say "thank you so very much for everything"
and we look forward to doing business with you in the future. You were on the spot with the accommodations and room choice. The view was spectacular and we even enjoyed our balcony for reading and short breaks. The resort was fabulous, the staff were great, and everything from getting off the plane to departure was taken care of. This was a true vacation. Great
recommendations from you on location, local area, and facilities provided. The availability of amenities and activities was just as you said they would be and we never once had to question or stress on what was next, where we had to go, or be someplace we didn't want to be.
I would recommend you and your services for anyone wanting a "True Vacation". Thank you again so much and take care.

July 2015 - Iceland
Feedback:
The large map: most important thing to have. Each hotel we stopped at had detailed maps of the city.
Iceland tour guide packet:
Amazing! Provided history and details of each place as well as distinct directions. Driving the island was stress free.
we really liked at the end of each day the iteneray listed miles and km to each place or select places. The maps in the itenerary were helpful also.
Going to Husik hotel the directions say turn right at the shell. You need to turn left at N1 gas station. Beautiful view at Husik cape hotel
Accommodations
each hotel offered their own charm. Weather it was modern historic country we did enjoy all 7 locations. At hotel hllid we got to feed pigs and horses. Spent alot of time talking with the inkerpers. At hotel lake we played with the local dig ate a the local restaurant and walked down a path and spent time at a lake. In east bay hotel Foss we overlooked the bay into the mountains . Fabulous accommodations a taste of everything
Overall.
can't wait to return. We would love to go to the northwest peninsula and see the things we missed.
Fabulous vacation!
December 2014 - Secrets The Vine - Riviera Maya, Mexico
I wanted to thank you and let you know how pleased we were with your service. I'm sure it was not easy accommodating so many people, yet there were very few hiccups. I felt very proud of our chosen venue and happy that with your help, we were able to get everyone there safely and efficiently. I heard many of our guest complimenting your business. I know myself, that in the future, I will happily be using your service again. Thank you for helping to make Cait and Mike's wedding so lovely.
Thank You,
Donna
October 2014 - Azamara Mediterranean Cruise
We have returned from our Azamara cruise from Spain to Italy and want you and Kami (please share with her) to know that our trip was wonderful. Our excursions, hotels and transfers occurred flawlessly.
The Viator tours were well organized and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend them. Our segway excursion in Barcelona was a blast ! My husband and I climbed Mt Vesuvius just to prove to ourselves that we could do it.
Interesting to note: the weather in Rome got rather chilly, which we were told is unusual for this time of the year. The hotel had no heat because" the mayor has to give permission for them to turn it on which usually happens mid Nov". Fact or fable, who knows but at least we had some long sleeved shirts and jackets with us. It was all about layers.
Thanks so much for the on board credit and the wonderful gift basket. We sure do appreciate all that you did to make our trip an unforgettable one.
Best Regards,
Rosemary and Terry
September 2014 - Hawaii
I’ve been meaning to let you know how our Hawaii trip was but I have been real busy with work.
Bottom line, the trip was fantastic – Peggy already wants to go back, especially to Kauai.
You all did a fantastic job in making all the arrangements. We definitely will be using Diana’s Destination for our future travels.
The only glitch in our arrangements, and it wasn’t your fault, is that American Airlines lost Peggy’s airline reservations in their system for our flight on the way out to Hawaii. When we got to the baggage check-in counter for our 7AM flight out of BWI, the agent at check-in said they didn’t have her ticket in their system. It took them 30 minutes to find the tickets in the US Airlines reservation system and then they had to cancel it there and re-issue them in the American Airlines system. It was a good thing we were 2 hours early for the 7AM flight.
As far as the hotel accommodations in Hawaii, the Marriott resort in Kauai was beautiful and the arrangements were awesome – including the breakfast package that was included (pool was very nice too). We weren’t impressed with the hotel/resort ion Maui. It was old and kind of run down and we had to change rooms at check-in to upgrade our room to an ocean front view because the standard room we had reserved looked into the side of another building right next to us and was on one of the lower floors – it had no view. Of course this upgrade cost us another ~$280.00 for the 4 nights, but we had no choice.
Peggy and I look at it as we now know what to specifically ask for in the way of room accommodations for future trips.
Once again, overall we were very pleased with the trip and all the arrangements you made – even down to the greeter at the Kauai airport – nice touch. We also liked the Champaign in the room in Kauai for our anniversary.
So from Peggy and I – we want to say thank you very much for doing such a great job and that we will be calling you for our future trips!

NOW Larimar - Punta Cana – February 2014
Hey there we got back from Punta Cana on Friday and we had a great time. We really liked the hotel and would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
We stayed in the Garden area which was a short golf cart ride away from the main area. At first it kinda seemed like that may be a pain in the tail, but it was literally a 1-2 minute golf ride and it always seemed like there was a golf cart ready to pick you up. The Garden area was nice because it was quiet. There was a pool and a bar out in this area. We had a ground level room so we looked out at the pool and could literally take 10 steps and be at the steps to go into the pool. It was nice that you had this option if you wanted to get away from the main crowd. However, we didn't really use this pool because we like being at the beach. At this area was also the Italian restaurant Capers as well. This restaurant was open for the breakfast buffet and then at night it turned into the Italian restaurant. The rooms were a nice, very simple. A bed and a desk area not much else. The bathroom and shower were separate so someone could shower while the other person could go to the bathroom. The sink and vanity area were all separate from the bathroom and the shower as well. The rooms were kept very clean and you had housekeeping in the morning and turndown service at night.
The restaurants were all good. We did not eat at the French one, but hit the Italian, Mexican and Japanese-- all which were very good. We did not have to make reservations for the Italian or the Mexican, but if you wanted to go to "spice" the Japanese restaurant and wanted the table where they cooked in front of you needed to make reservations. It was nice but not like the ones here where they do all kinds of tricks and put on a show. Here they cooked in front of you . But the food at all of these was delicious. We were told that if you went around 7 to the restaurants you may have to wait, but we never did. It was just 2 of us so maybe that was a difference, but it seemed like everyone was getting seated. We ate at the buffets for breakfast and occasionally lunch. No complaints there either :)
The drinks were good. I had read on a review that the drinks were watered down, but I beg to differ!! Sometimes I had a hard time getting the drink passed my nose because they were too strong!! They laughed when I asked for a little more sprite to make my drink drinkable!! They had all kinds of liquor... Stoli to Greygoose to the Dominicain Rum. Service was always quick and friendly! The only beer were were able to get was the island beer which was the Presidente beer- I was not a big fan of that. If you were in the preferred club I think you had to go to the preferred bar area to get Coors light, Hinekin and Corona or Budwiser.
We did not upgrade to the Preferred club and I think that it was okay that we didn't. I walked over to the "preferred" area pool and was not impressed with it. I liked the main pool and thought that there were plenty of spaces to sit. I know that the preferred got free wifi but not quite sure what we missed out on as we were very happy with everything that we were entitled to.
The whole resort was very clean and friendly. Everyone was very helpful and always asking if you needed anything. We were always able to find seats at the beach and the pool area when we needed to. The entertainment was good. We saw a show one night and it was excellent. The other nights we sat at the bar and met up with another couple.
I really liked this resort and would definitely go back to this one again when we do go back. Really liked that you did not need reservations for the restaurants and that you did not have to wear any kind of braclet to let them know you were staying there. Everything went very smoothly and was hassle free :) Thanks again for helping us plan the trip!!

Occidental Grand Aruba - January 2014
Just wanted to let you know our group of ten had a wonderful trip to Aruba. Your planning and organization allowed our group to focus on fun and not all of the tiny details that go into planning a trip like ours. The resort (Occidental Grand Aruba) was beautiful and the staff could not have been more helpful.
I have already recommended your travel agency to some friends. Thank you so much for a job well done!

9 Day Irish Spirit Tour – September 2013
Thank you for the beautiful and delicious welcome home gift. We had a wonderful time in Ireland. All arrangements worked; thank you for your expert planning. Ireland was unseasonably warm and we had very little rain (luck of the Irish). We would highly recommend CIE Tours, they did a great job of sharing the past, present, and future of Ireland for us.
Diana’s destinations has never let us down, whether it is a bus trip or an international excursion.
Best regards, Cheryl and Richard
Secrets St. James - Jamaica - July 2013
We had a wonderful time in Jamaica on our honeymoon
1. The most memorable part of our trip was definitely the romantic dinner on the beach. It was such a romantic setting and the server was FANTASTIC. He was so helpful and respectful when we were eating or chatting. It was nice to choose our meal before we went so we didn't have to take time to do that the night of the dinner. We were nervous the dinner may be postponed because it had thunder-stormed for a couple hours that day but the server actually called us in our room a couple times to check in and let us know we were still ok for the dinner.
2. We would definitely recommend this package/trip to other people. We really enjoyed being in the preferred club on the St. James side of the resort. It was more secluded and quiet. If we wanted to go over into the mix of the louder more eventful groups we could but we mostly decided to stay on the quiet side. There was a separate pool and beach area for us as well. We had a full bar available to us at all times (top shelf liquor). There were always snacks/treats in the same area as the full bar (only available to preferred club members).
3. We liked that we had the freedom to make our own schedule throughout the day. There were many choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was a wide span of time in which we could eat each meal. We liked that the servers walked onto the beach to serve drinks too. Every person we came in contact with at the resort was extremely helpful and happy. Anytime we walked by an employee of the resort we were asked if we were doing alright and if we needed anything, it was definitely a pampered feeling!
4. We didn't participate in any excursions...we really enjoyed lounging by the pool or beach each day. We did participate in the snorkeling that was included in the resort (free of cost). It was amazing and the tour guide was great in pointing out different fish/coral reef.
5. We had an amazing time at the Himitsiu (spelling?? The hibachi grill). We made reservations to sit at the chef's table which was definitely worth it! We were asked when we checked in upon arrival if we wanted to make the reservation. The servers and staff at the restaurant were so fun and energetic! They made the meal like a show and it was great! We really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant too. We went there twice and got the same thing both times. The service was fast and the chips and salsa were very tasty!
6. I can't think of anything we would have changed about our trip. It was my husbands first time out of the country and he seemed to really enjoy the experience. I think if we went again we would go for less days and plan some excursions. We may plan more trips to the spa too. We had a spa package included in our trip but it seemed like only a taste of what the spa really had to offer. It was so nice but we would have enjoyed a longer time there. :)
7. When we left from the airport in Jamaica we were waiting in line for a significant amount of time. It seemed like it was the airport staff whom had difficultly figuring out how to put everyone in lines to move through quickly. There were a lot of people leaving at the same time to different places in the US, we were all in the same line. We were a bit stressed because after standing in line for that amount of time we only had 10 minutes before we were to board the plane. I am glad we got on the correct transportation at the correct time because if not I fear we would have missed the flight. I was a bit confused about which transportation to get on back to the airport. I am not sure if I missed it in the paperwork somewhere or not. The resort staff was a bit confused too, like I said it all worked out it was just a little stressful.
I attached two photos if you would like to post them or use them. :) I can send you others if you need them. I was looking through my photos and I don't have many of both of us because I felt bad asking people to take our photo. We really appreciate your help to book our trip...we had an amazing time and enjoyed every minute of it! We are hoping to make plans for another trip in the future!
Thanks,
Stephanie
Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas - Alaska - July 25, 2013
I have used Diana’s Destinations several times and they consistently make things so easy. They have a wonderful team of professional agents that go the extra mile to make sure that you have all of the information you need when planning a vacation. It is really nice to have a team of experts to take the guess work out of the process instead of getting stuck at a point and click site. I highly recommend Diana’s Destinations”. Brian
RIU Palace Bavaro – Punta Cana – January 2013
We had a wonderful time in Punta Cana---the resort was everything we hoped it would be and then some. From our night at BWI Sheraton to our return ride home, everything was perfect. Staff & service at the RIU Bavaro was great. Thank you for your service. On my birthday, Fri, 1/11 we received balloons, champagne & fruit ---I think you arranged this ---THANK YOU! I was shocked. It was very nice of you to make my day more special.
We are going to continue taking trips and will look to you for your expertise.
Take care,

Italy & Sicily – Gate1 and Globus Tours - September 2011
Sorry it has taken me a while to get this to you...I am still trying to catch up. As you know, the whole trip to Italy and Sicily was FABULOUS! We really enjoyed the time on our own in Rome and the excursions to the catacombs and Tivoli were very interesting. The tour guides were informative. We walked from the hotel to meet the excursions, which was convenient. The Grand Hotel Palatino is in a great location. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations for dining. The first night we found out from our waiter at a nearby restaurant that the hotel staff called ahead while we were walking there to let them know we were coming. We enjoyed complimentary Limón cello there after dinner! The next night, we walked to another restaurant near the hotel. The owner recommended dishes for us and also sang with the guitarist so we enjoyed live music while we drank and ate! Thanks for making the arrangements in Sicily too. The service at Le Callete was excellent. Our aunt and uncle have stayed there multiple times so they knew some of the staff. We spent a lot of time with our family, which was wonderful! They showed us around town. We saw where our grandfather lived as a child, where our mom lived as a child, where they washed clothes, the barber shop where our grandfather worked (which is now a video store), and the church where our grandparents got married, our mom was baptized and had her first holy communion. We went to Mass there too. We were treated to many delicious home cooked meals- there were 24 of us around the table! It truly was fantastic! Our family went on a tour of the Santa Anastasia winery. The food and wine were delicious! We also enjoyed swimming in the Mediterranean. Needless to say, we did not want to leave and the family did not want us to leave either. Lisa and I continued on to the Globus tour of Northern Italy and Cinque Terre which was fantastic! We enjoyed the time on our own before the tour began. We walked a lot to see the sights in Milan and took the hop-on hop-off bus. We sat in the piazza of the duomo at night. It was spectacular to see the church lit up. The stained glass windows are beautiful! The tour director was funny and the driver was from Sicily so we had a special bond with him, talking about families. We saw a lot of beautiful places and went on all of the optional excursions. We wanted to see as much as we could. The dinners were excellent- delicious food and wine! We had dinner and dancing at a winery. Cinque Terre is beautiful!! We stopped in a few of the villages and met wonderful people. We even met another Sicilian who owned a cafe. He said he would find a place for us to stay on our next visit. We stayed in Santa Margherita Ligure and had a beautiful view of the sea from the hotel. We took the boat to Portofino which had a pretty coastal view. We had beautiful weather- sunshine every day! I would recommend Globus and the excursions. The only change I would make to the trip would be to make it longer!! I saw on the Globus website that for 2012 they are offering an extension to Lake Maggiore. I would definitely take that!! I also wish I had gotten tickets in advance to see The Last Supper in Milan. We went on our own before the tour began, but it was sold out. The woman there said tickets should be purchased in advance because it sells out. We were literally on the other side of the wall from it! I suggested that Globus include it as part of the tour. But for us, it is another reason to go back!!
We are saving up for our next trip to Italy ...and there will definitely be a next time!! In the meantime, we have to start planning another trip. We need to have something to look forward to!
Grazie!
Ciao Ciao Ciao,

London, England FIT – November 2011
I would definitely recommend the packages we bought to others. My favorite excursion was probably the bus trip to Windsor Castle, Bath , and Stonehenge . If I had more time, I would recommend two separate trips. I would have liked more time in Bath. Windsor Castle was fantastic; not to be missed in a trip to England! Unfortunately, photos are prohibited there. I've always wanted to see Stonehenge, but have to admit that I was a bit underwhelmed.
If I did this again, I would not buy the Hop on Hop off tickets in advance. Things happen, and this can be bought almost anywhere, with more flexibility not buying ahead of time. I was very pleased with our seats on the Euro star train, which took us to Paris. I had heard that one should upgrade to first class, but I was more than pleased with the standard ticket. Seats were spacious, with the top of the chair back curved to rest your head against. It had two seats on each side of the aisle; sufficient leg room, and a footrest.
We opted for the shorter 3 hour tour of Paris, which turned out to be our party and one other couple in a minivan. Our driver had a headset, and was quite knowledgeable. In hindsight, I would elect a longer tour, as I enjoy learning the history, but this worked out well, and I would recommend it. I also enjoyed our cruise on the Seine, which was included in the tour, and would definitely recommend this.
We purchased the Oyster card online before leaving, and I would recommend this for anyone traveling to London! The card works on all public transportation; the tube as well as the double decker bus. It is good to have in hand upon arrival, and takes about two weeks to arrive in the mail after you order it online. I bought the 30 pound card, but ended up "topping up" by adding money to it in the tube station. This was a good way to use up my coins, which are otherwise not particularly useful.
I was very pleased with the hotel that you found for us: the Melia White House. It is an older building which has been refurbished. I got there early, and they upgraded my room. (Not sure what it would have otherwise been.) There was plenty of room in the bathroom, but the hot water in the shower was only a dribble. Not sure what the problem was there. The wall outlets had both American, as well as UK power, which was nice. Since I had two adapters that gave us four outlets to work with, which was nice. I plugged my hairdryer into an adapter, but when I turned it on, it blew out the dryer, as well as a fuse in the room. I have spoken with several other people that this happened to, so I guess it is common. Luckily, Nanette's hairdryer worked. I brought mine home, but it is dead, and had to be thrown out. Recommendation: bring a low wattage dryer. There was not one that came with the room. They also gave us a nice plate of fruit and a small box of chocolates the first night. Regardless of how late we slept, or how early we left the room, it had always been cleaned by the time we returned. We didn't have a sign to hang on the door, so I don't know how they did that! There was always a doorman to hold the door as we entered or exited the hotel.
Last but not least, I am so, so glad that I bought insurance from you! My concern was medical, due to the issues I've been having with arthritic knees. I powered through that, but used the lost or stolen luggage clause due to my iphone being pick pocketed. I am so pleased that they will cover it! I am lucky that I was able to find the receipt from when I bought the phone, as that is required. I am just waiting for the police report to come through, as that is the other requirement. I filed the report online with the London police, and am just waiting for my email confirmation. I knew to keep my purse close, but I stupidly put the iphone in an outer pocket, as I was using it to tell time. That evidently put a target on my back.
Sandals Emerald Bay – Exuma, Bahamas – November 2011
It was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! The resort was clean, the staff was accommodating and the food was wonderful. And the beach - oh, the beach!! We made a few mistakes - we didn't book dinner in the 2 fancy restaurants early in our visit so we missed out on them, we made our golf tee time for 1pm so the setting sun caused some sight problems and there was no beer available on the golf course! Other than those 3 things everything was perfect. The room was so nice and they took such good care of us. How much extra would a butler have cost us?
We went on a terrific boat ride - Thunderball 007 - on Thursday. It cost us $750 for a full day of boating, sightseeing, eating, drinking, and swimming. They offered snorkeling but neither Mel or I are coordinated enough to breathe thru our mouths!! Anyway, we swam with pigs on one of the stops, fed Iguanas on another stop, had a great lunch at Staniel Cay Marina and then swam with sharks!! The captain and his first mate (son) were native Bahamians and had all kinds of facts and stories for us. Plus rum cake!! It was really a great day.
I remember you telling me it was one of the more laid back Sandals Resorts but it fit us just fine. There was some fun entertainment and we met some really nice people. The woman that was the manager of the Drunken Duck Pub - can't remember her name - was so friendly and interesting.
The lovely photo album you sent is full of great pictures. Thank you so much for the service and advice.
So, thanks again for all you've done. Sandals is definitely in our future travel plans.

Couples Swept Away Jamaica – December 2011
We are home, safe and sound. The trip was wonderful. More than I expected. The resort was really amazing.... Staff was exceptional, beaches were beautiful, food was all homemade and individually made to order. So, so good.
The rooms were contemporary and the grounds were beautifully kept. We were 15 feet from the beach with a verandah that had a little kitty cat who came quietly sitting outside the glass door every morning looking for milk from Scott's coffee service.
Not many Mosquitoes, certainly no roaches, nothing. It was weird. They must spray.
It was a big campus type place with a mile of beach and lots of paved trails in between each condo which led you to the pavilions, restaurants, pools, etc. if you didn't want to take the beach.
We sailed, snorkeled and water-skied, ate, drank, floated in the ocean, swam in the pools, walked the pristine beach at night in the moonlight.
It was awesome. Scott and I had a wonderful trip. The resort took care of us from the moment we stepped out of customs. It was an hour ride from the airport but "no worries man, we take care of you" is what they said and then proceeded to do.
We learned this resort has a 40% retention rate. If you come back, you have a dinner with the other returners and the general manger. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I've never seen so many guests cajoling with the staff and taking pictures. They knew our names from day one. When Scott and I decided to walk the beach beyond our resort, a guard appeared out of nowhere to take our names and room number in case we didn't return!! The place next door was a Sandals resort then it was a public beach, where absolutely no one hassled us, and when we returned I started to walk to the guard but he waved me off and crossed our name off his list. We were impressed, felt watched over. It was nice.
Such a great trip- so happy we did it.

Thank you for the newsletter! I loved the opening and you make a great point. Jeff and I were able to find the same exact Sandals package for a little cheaper, but it was worth paying a little more to work with you. Just from talking with you, I can tell that you care about our vacation and that all of the details will be taken care of. You get what you pay for, and if you ask me, it's worth a little bit more for peace of mind from you!
We cannot wait for June 2011. Thank you again.

Le Blanc Spa Resort, Cancun- 2010
We just got back from Cancun and can't stop talking about it. I have your questionnaire and will respond to it here. Overall, the resort was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS and the beach was wonderful. We probably won't ever stay anywhere else if/when we go back again!
1. The most memorable part of the vacation was how beautiful the beach was and the quality of service/food at the resort.
2. I would recommend the Le Blanc Spa Resort to anyone and everyone!
3. What I liked best was how pampered we were at the resort. We didn't have to lift a finger, make a reservation or even carry a plate of food at the buffet, to our table. Everyone responded, “It is my pleasure" whenever you said thank you to an employee.
4. We went on the Jungle Tour. We drove our own boat to a reef and went snorkeling. It was a blast. We loved the boats and the fish were great. Our tour guide was excellent, pointing out lots of neat fish (octopus, sand shark, baby barracuda). It was about 3-4 hours total so we didn't lose an entire day from the beach/resort.
5. All four restaurants were top notch, 5 star and delicious!
6. I would highly recommend the excursion to anyone!
7. The only changes I would make would be to get out on the strip after dinner and try out some local night life. As much as we loved the resort (and we did), there was no night life, very quiet.
8. No problems, absolutely wonderful!
It was the best vacation I've ever had. Thank you for your help!!
Fondly,
Mary
USA - FIT - 2007/Hawaii - Blue Sky Tours - 2008
We first used Diana’s Destinations for our honeymoon. We had grand plans on what we wanted, and were having a difficult time booking our honeymoon on our own. A friend recommended Leigh, and we were not disappointed. She coordinated our unique honeymoon with little notice. Our honeymoon included a flight to Denver Colorado, a train trip from Denver to Salt Lake City Utah, a romantic cabin outside Zion national park, and three days of fun in Las Vegas Nevada. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful yet inexpensive accommodations that she booked for us throughout our trip. She attended to the small details like making sure we had breakfast included in our accommodations or a kitchenette. Her thoughtfulness for our honeymoon included a beautiful photo album in which we cherish.
Our second trip with Leigh was a last minute trip to Hawaii that included a three- island stay. She made sure we received lei’s upon arrival, which was a wonderful start to a fantastic trip. Once again her attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Our inexpensive hotel contained a live orchid, snack basket, DVD player, microwave oven, coffee maker with 100% Kona coffee, continental breakfast, and a short walk to the beach. We couldn’t be happier and she even included a gift card to Red Lobster.
In the wee hours of the morning when we spend several hours attempting to plan our last minute vacations we ultimately give up and call Leigh the next morning knowing she will plan an amazing vacation for us at a great price. Thank you Leigh for saving us at the last minute more then once.

New York City Motor coach Tour - 2006
I just can't thank you enough for the amazing experience. The trip was more than thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. It was unquestionably better than I had expected, thanks to you guys! The bus was very comfortable and clean, we felt completely informed as far as times, places, etc... The kids didn't get a chance to get antsy on the bus because you had so many great activities...and the movies were wonderful for the way home. And thank you so much for making the arrangements for the show and the lunch....they were great!
To top it all off, I think the price was very reasonable considering all that was included.
I can't wait to recommend your business to my friends and family and I really can't wait to make arrangements for another trip!
Thanks,
Lisa
Norwegian Cruise Lines - Hawaii - 2005
We had a FABULOUS time!!
The best part- THE WHOLE TRIP!!
The worst part- LEAVING!!
We did a lot of shore excursions through the ship which were all great. The tour operators were so nice. We really enjoyed the helicopter tour in Kauai and the crater at sunrise in Maui. What beautiful scenery!! I don't have the photos back yet, but I hope they all turn out. Everyone we met on the ship was very friendly. We laughed a lot. Although we have nothing to compare it to (since this was our first cruise), we had a wonderful time. The free styling worked well for us since we were out all day. We didn't have to worry about being back at a certain time for dinner. We usually bypassed the crowds anyway since we ate late (when we found time to eat...).
We also snorkeled on our own in Kona at Turtle Bay, thanks to the recommendations of the crew on the ship. It was spectacular- we saw lots of fish and turtles. We filled every minute of the trip and loved it all!! We'd love to go back again.
The time spent in Waikiki was wonderful too. The view from the top of Diamond Head was amazing. Of course, it was fun catching the Ocean Line trolley too!! There was no time to waste!
To where is our next trip???

Princess Cruise - Western Caribbean - 2003
I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into making our cruise the most memorable experience of our lives. This was the most enjoyable vacation we have ever been on. The cruise ship was wonderful and the islands were fantastic. I don't know if you've spoken to Vickie yet, but I'm sure that she will verify that Rob and I really made the most of our
time. I think we did just about everything imaginable on that ship. If we got 3 hours of sleep each night we were lucky. I didn't want to miss a thing. Besides the great food at all hours of the night, the shows were terrific. And we really burned the midnight oil at Skywalker's Nightclub. The stingray excursion was the most awesome thing we have ever done. It was just crazy seeing hundreds of stingrays swimming with hundreds of people. And our tour guides were excellent. We even got to hold a stingray.
I'm sure you already know how wonderful these cruises are but since this was our first one, we can not stop talking about it. We had a blast! I am really looking forward to doing another cruise in the future (if I can wait that long).
Thanks again for all you did to make this happen!
